Romans 13:11

11 And that, knowing the time,
that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:
for now is our salvation nearer
than when we believed.
Forgive me, if I have no affinity with the world's dictates of how one should live, be, speak, act, or think.
Forgive me if I've always rebelled against institutions which seem to dictate your success and acceptability.
Somehow, I've never bought into those.
As born again watchman, I look to the sky.
Whether the morning sky, the afternoon sky, or the night sky.
I wait for the LORD's descent.
Something everyone would be able to see.
I wait for a shout.
The voice of an archangel.
I listen for a trumpet.
Not just any other trumpet.
But the "trump of God".
A heavenly one which will signal JESUS' return.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

16 For the Lord himself
shall descend from heaven
with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Is JESUS coming for His faithful today?
Will He finally come for the dead, and the living?
Will the Rapture finally occur?
How much longer, LORD?
It's not boredom.
But nothing in the world is enticing enough.
Perhaps, I'd rather enjoy a slice of rich chocolate cake, than go buy the latest gadgets, and trappings.
Maybe others are moved by that, but I've never been into that.
I look at all the pretty people, cars, homes, and positions, and it's all "icing".
What lies beneath?
What is its substance?
Would it be acceptable to GOD?
Does it honor JESUS?
Does it care about others?
Is there genuine love for others?
Is there true love for CHRIST?
Is there excitement at what SPIRIT teaches?
Is there a love for Scripture, the WORD of GOD?
Do people really see how urgent the times are?
Romans 13:12

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armour of light.
John the Baptist warned us:

JESUS warned us:
Matthew 4:16-17

These we need to think, be, and do:

Be not enamored with the world.
1 John 2:15-17

Instead, be enamored with CHRIST.
Colossians 3:1-2

Prepare for when the LORD comes.
Don't be a scoffer, or unbeliever.
Don't believe what the world sells you.
It's all preparation now.
For when JESUS comes.
Which could be any moment.
