Isaiah 41:17 King James Version
17 When the poor and needy seek water,
and there is none,
and their tongue faileth for thirst,
I the Lord will hear them,
I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
Worried about the future?
No thanks to alarmists.
Or to those who say, think, and feel they are in the "know".
And who could those be but those in government, science, business, and the military.
They believe they hold the greatest power.
They herd everyone to their secret agenda.
They feel they know what everyone's after.
But what is everyone after anyway?
Aren't many world leaders after world domination?
Now you know why I hardly read, or watch news anymore.
At least, for sometime now.
It's all the same.
Who gets what.
Who has outdone whom.
And now, they talk about preparing for tough times.
Where I live, they say it will be El Nino.
In other countries, it's preparing for either natural or military consequences.
It's all fear, repackaged in another form.
And all I can think of is the WORD of GOD.
What does the Bible say?
What are GOD's promises?
What did JESUS ask of us?
Do people really know what's going to happen?
Can they predict what's going to happen next?
A small case in point, from where I live.
Where there are only two seasons --
The wet, and dry.
Meteorologists warn of dire weather.
I only look to the sky, from three different sides of our house.
And more often than not, my assumptions are correct.
And since it's still rainy season, I always make sure I have a lightweight umbrella, and a decent cap in my carry-all.
Some days, depending on the way the sky looks, or how the wind blows, I don a hoodie.
That's what an ordinary, everyday commuter does.
We don't have cars to run to.
We wait in line to get everyday transport.
Such as our jeep, for one.
So, why all the fuss about collecting water to combat El Nino?
Or to stock up on food and stuff for this "predicted" or "planned" tough times.
I live in an archipelago.
We are surrounded by water everywhere.
Why can't we have someone in government look at desalination from Israel?
Why can't we see the plight of everyday people, instead of bickering in senate, or attacking the president all the time?
Methinks CHRIST's enemy has successfully distracted most of us.
The enemy does have "devices".
People have become spoiled, demanding, and fearful.
When all we need is to be taught by the HOLY SPIRIT.
And that can only happen if GOD makes us born again.
Then He sends His SPIRIT to teach us about JESUS, and Scripture.
We become NEW creatures in CHRIST.
2 Corinthians 5:17 King James Version
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature:
old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.
That's the only way fear can be taken out of us.
Trust.
Faith.
Believing in JESUS.
Didn't He say:
Luke 21:18 King James Version
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
Matthew 6:26 King James Version
26 Behold the fowls of the air:
for they sow not,
neither do they reap,
nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they?
We truly are a fearful generation.
We fail to focus on things that matter.
That's why JESUS rebuked us, as He rebuked the storm.
Matthew 8:26 King James Version
26 And he saith unto them,
Why are ye fearful,
O ye of little faith?
Then he arose,
and rebuked the winds and the sea;
and there was a great calm.
What would it take for us to have peace?
Simple.
Believe in the LORD JESUS.
Acts 16:31 King James Version
31 And they said,
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and thou shalt be saved,
and thy house.
Not only will we be saved from self, others, evil, and the world.
We shall be saved from hell, too.
We shall have eternal life with JESUS.
What could be greater joy, peace, and contentment than that?
Put fear in perspective.
Matthew 10:28 King James Version
28 And fear not them which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear him
which is able to destroy
both soul and body in hell.
The Rapture can happen sooner than us running out of water, gas, food, or toilet paper.
Know where to put your faith in.
Hold fast to CHRIST.
