Psalm 118:22
King James Version
22 The stone which the builders refused
is become the head stone of the corner.
What is the difference between rocks and stones?
As expected, a born again watchman only turns to Scripture.
The only sure Source we have.
So, what does the Bible say?
We found that there's the "Rock", and "stones".
There's the "Rock", and "rocks".
There's a "Rock star", and the "stoners".
They wanted to stone JESUS.
John 10:30-33
King James Version
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again
to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them,
Many good works
have I shewed you from my Father;
for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying,
For a good work we stone thee not;
but for blasphemy;
and because that thou, being a man,
makest thyself God.
And yet, He is the "chief corner stone".
Ephesians 2:19-20
King James Version
19 Now therefore ye are
no more strangers and foreigners,
but fellowcitizens with the saints,
and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation
of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ himself being
the chief corner stone;
He is the ROCK.
Deuteronomy 32:4
King James Version
4 He is the Rock,
his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he.
1 Corinthians 10:4
King James Version
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink:
for they drank of that spiritual Rock
that followed them:
and that Rock was Christ.
Won't the Rock come upon them one day?
Revelation 6:16-17
King James Version
16 And said to the mountains and rocks,
Fall on us,
and hide us from the face of him
that sitteth on the throne,
and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come;
and who shall be able to stand?
Here are more articles the HOLY SPIRIT led me to write.
And it's all about JESUS, as the STRONGEST foundation.
The Rock we can rely upon:
JESUS as the FOUNDATION of Our Life, Home, and Work
In contrast to man-made stone:
Know where you stand upon.
Know your foundation.
There is the Rock:
Matthew 7:24-25
King James Version
24 Therefore whosoever
heareth these sayings of mine,
and doeth them,
I will liken him unto a wise man,
which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came,
and the winds blew, and beat upon that house;
and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And there are the rocks:
Luke 8:4-6
King James Version
4 And when much people were gathered together,
and were come to him out of every city,
he spake by a parable:
5 A sower went out to sow his seed:
and as he sowed, some fell by the way side;
and it was trodden down,
and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock;
and as soon as it was sprung up,
it withered away,
because it lacked moisture.
Luke 8:9-11
King James Version
9 And his disciples asked him, saying,
What might this parable be?
10 And he said,
Unto you it is given to know
the mysteries of the kingdom of God:
but to others in parables;
that seeing they might not see,
and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this:
The seed is the word of God.
Luke 8:13
King James Version
13 They on the rock are they,
which, when they hear,
receive the word with joy;
and these have no root,
which for a while believe,
and in time of temptation fall away.
We need to fall on "good ground".
Luke 8:15
King James Version
15 But that on the good ground are they,
which in an honest and good heart,
having heard the word, keep it,
and bring forth fruit with patience.
Believers are assured of bringing forth "fruit".
The true born again receives the FRUIT of the SPIRIT.
Galatians 5:22-23
King James Version
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.
