Galatians 1:17
King James Version
17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them
which were apostles before me;
but I went into Arabia,
and returned again unto Damascus.
President Trump visits Saudi Arabia yesterday.
And was warmly welcomed by 39-year-old Crown Prince, and prime minister, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, also known as MBS.
I marveled at how the president was able to shake hands with TONS of Saudis, businessmen, and dignitaries.
With the crown prince also very accommodating, ever-smiling, as Trump was honored by guests.
In turn, the president's cabinet, and group, were there to shake hands with the crown prince.
Seen were Trump's cabinet members -- secretary of state, Marco Rubio; secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth; secretary of treasury, Scott Bessent; secretary of commerce, Howard Lutnick; and secretary of energy, Chris Wright.
Also seen were White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles, and DOGE head, Elon Musk.
Upon seeing the majesty of the great hall, I felt Trump would be pleased.
It was also quite a walk from his presidential car to this large hall.
President Trump spoke at the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum 2025 on 13 May 2025, in Riyadh.
He only had praises for the crown prince, as well as Saudi Arabia.
Saudi's always known to be a prosperous nation, due to their oil.
"It has the world's second-largest proven reserves of petroleum, of which it is third largest producer and the largest exporter;[304][305] the country also has the sixth-largest proven natural gas reserves.[31] Saudi Arabia is considered an "energy superpower,"[306][307] having the third highest total estimated value of natural resources, valued at US$34.4 trillion in 2016."
"Saudi Arabia's reported population is 32,175,224 as of 2022,[364] making it the fourth most populous country in the Arab world.[365] Close to 42% of its inhabitants are immigrants,[366] mostly from the Middle East, Asia, and Africa."
The president spoke about US$10-Trillion dollars that have already come into America, as investments.
We all have seen how the president, and his team, work really hard to get things done.
For every 10 regulations, he wants it cut down to one.
That ought to take care of "red tape".
The president has always gone for simplicity, practicality, and common sense.
Trump spoke about the ceasefire with the Houthis of Yemen.
He didn't want American and Saudi ships shot at.
He also prefers to make a deal with Iran.
He declared:
"Iran will never have a nuclear weapon."
-- U.S. president Trump
Ideally, America won't have to use their secret weapons.
Trump said he'd much rather "deal", and not waste lives:
"I do not believe in permanent enemies."
-- U.S. president Trump
Will the president go to Israel?
Most probably not.
Israel's PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, had already visited the White house twice.
First on 5 February 2025, and the most recent on 7 April 2025.
This Saudi trip seems to be America's focus on trade, peace, and investments.
And to enjoin countries to "trade", rather than go to "war".
But it would be great if Trump could visit Israel; given more time.
He is expected to visit Turkey.
"My preference will always be peace, and partnership."
-- U.S. president Trump
He says he will be ordering the cessation of sanctions in Syria, to the great applause of many.
The crown prince and his people even stood up for this.
But didn't America once put a US$10-M bounty on Abu Mohammad al-Julani?
He had joined al-Qaeda in Iraq.
He is now known as Ahmed al-Sharaa, and president of Syria.
America took off that bounty once Syria fell under Assad.
"I believe it is GOD's job to sit at judgement;
my job to defend America."
-- U.S. president Trump
I wondered why his Saudi audience was pleased when Trump announced he was going to lift sanctions on Syria.
And I learned this about al-Sharaa, the 42-year-old Syrian president:
"Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to a Syrian Sunni Muslim family from the Golan Heights, he grew up in Syria's capital, Damascus."
-- "Ahmed al-Sharaa" ( Wikipedia)
He is "president" in the Syrian government:
"On 29 January 2025, during the Syrian Revolution Victory Conference in Presidential Palace, the Syrian General Command appointed Ahmed al-Sharaa as president for the transitional period..."
-- "Post-Ba'athist Syria" (2024–present)
We also learn about the state religion of Saudi Arabia.
"Islam, specifically Sunni Islam of the Hanbali school, is the state religion in Saudi Arabia."
-- "Religion in Saudi Arabia" (Wikipedia)
Oh, that figures, they're all Sunni Muslims.
In contrast, majority of Iran are "Shia":
"According to The World Factbook of the CIA, between 90-95% of Iran's Muslim are Shia, and another 5-10% are Sunni,[73] the American Iranian Council, citing the Islamic Republic estimates, gives the Sunni percentage at between 7% and 10%."
-- "Islam in Iran" (Wikipedia)
Now, for another thing that's been on my mind for quite a while now.
I had been waiting so long to tell you this, but didn't have an opportunity until today's "historic" meeting in Saudi Arabia.
It seemed appropriate to mention this now.
Did you know Israel named a "place", for president Trump, in the Golan Heights?
"Trump Heights (Hebrew: רמת טראמפ, romanized: Ramat Trump [ʁaˈmat ˈtʁamp]) is a planned Israeli settlement in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights named after and in honour of Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th President of the United States."
"It will be under the jurisdiction of Golan Regional Council.[7] It is the first community in Israel and Israeli-occupied territories named after a sitting American president since Kfar Truman."[8][9]
"As of December 2024, Trump Heights was home to about 70 adults and 60 children under 13."
-- "Trump Heights" (Wikipedia)
Are you beginning to see where all this may lead?
With Trump establishing "economic" friendship with Syria, perhaps, he can finally have free access, and develop "Trump Heights in the contested Golan Heights.
What would be interesting is the reaction of Israel to all these goings-on.
President Trump did assure he is there to "help defend our allies".
Interestingly, he never mentioned the nation "Israel" in the 51-minute-long video; only what Iran proxies did in "Gaza".
We shall look into Israel's response, soon as we get trusted material from her side.
