GET OFF the money HORSE

Proverbs 13:11

King James Version

11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished:

but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

JESUS rode a donkey.

He didn't have a flashy horse.

He was not garbed in expensive raiment.

The Bible didn't talk about how He changed clothes often, depending on the occasion.

And yet, He happens to be Lord of Lords, King of Kings, and the SON of GOD.

Leading by example, He wanted us to focus on the FATHER alone.

John 17:3

King James Version

3 And this is life eternal,

that they might know thee the only true God,

and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

He gave up His life, that we may live.

He got really mad when people made His Father's house, a marketplace.

Now, you'd see vendors right outside churches.

Whether it's raising money for the church, for her scholars, or simply to give vendors a chance to sell.

Many pastors sell their books, to raise funds.

As if the Bible doesn't suffice in its perfection.

Shall we have our own version of GOD's WORD?

Or our own interpretation?

I have no business competing with perfection.

I've gotten off the money horse since GOD made me born again in 2019.

After having repented of my sins, being shamed by it, not being able to bear to sin anymore, that must have pleased GOD.

He showed up after five months, anointing me with His SPIRIT, and leading me to Bible prophecy.

He made sure I lost my addiction over money.

He withheld money from me since 2001.

That made me come home to my roots.

And what a wise decision it was, even if I struggled to go back to the big city, and try to recoup my losses.

But GOD would have none of that.

He didn't give me any money, so I'd stay home with my Mom and siblings.

True enough, He had plans for me with the family.

Two have passed on within a span of four years.

Mom initially had her own health problems.

GOD kept me healthy so I can tend to Him, you, and the family.

Money-making was set aside.

He gave what I needed, but no more.

My previous preoccupation with money was forgotten.

Now, all that matters is JESUS.

Why?

Because at any given moment, the Rapture could occur.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

King James Version

16 For the Lord himself

shall descend from heaven

with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

What good is all that stash when JESUS makes the faithful meet Him up in the air?

Will your wealth, and goods, go with you?

On the contrary, it will be a deterrent.

You will be like Lazarus and the rich man.

Every soul is a garden.

It needs tending.

My soul right now still has weeds.

Satan has planted those weeds, so it will choke the thriving plants.

SPIRIT and Scripture teach me how to weed properly.

I want it a fresh garden for CHRIST.

Where there's no bank, no bonds, no bills, no fear.

Just a perfect BOND with Him.

I don't want to be caught up in a money-crazed world.

1 John 2:16

King James Version

16 For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

and the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

is not of the Father,

but is of the world.

I don't ever want to lose my focus on JESUS.

I want my eyes, and heart, focused on Him alone.

I want to be ready when the shout, and trumpet, sound.

Colossians 3:1-2

King James Version

3 If ye then be risen with Christ,

seek those things which are above,

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth.

Admit it, everything in the world speaks of money.

Without this obsession with money, many institutions won't exist.

Many jobs won't be born.

Many titles would be useless.

Many rich people won't thrive.

Many famous people can't boast.

It's all vanity, this love for acquisition.

Covetousness is idolatry.

A great sin against GOD.

Sure, we have to eat.

We have to live.

We have to work.

We have to provide for our families.

Just don't go crazy about it.

If you must work, pray to serve the LORD.

Ask what He wants you do to.

How does He want you to serve?

Don't even think how much you'll earn.

Depending on what GOD predestined you for, all will be made clear.

But JESUS made it clear early on.

You can only serve ONE Master.

Matthew 6:24

King James Version

24 No man can serve two masters:

for either he will hate the one, and love the other;

or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.

Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Money is useful in this money-crazed world.

But don't let it consume you.

My focus is on a pain-free world, with JESUS.

Revelation 21:1-7

King James Version

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:

for the first heaven and the first earth

were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city,

new Jerusalem,

coming down from God out of heaven,

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,

Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,

and he will dwell with them,

and they shall be his people,

and God himself shall be with them,

and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,

nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:

for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said,

Behold, I make all things new.

And he said unto me,

Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

I will give unto him that is athirst

of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things;

and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

If you panic, you do not have faith.

A true born again trusts GOD alone.

He provides judiciously.

GOD knows what you need,.

Before you even need it.

Matthew 6:7-8

King James Version

7 But when ye pray,

use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:

for they think that they shall be heard

for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them:

for your Father knoweth

what things ye have need of,

before ye ask him.
