ORDER in chaos

2 Thessalonians 3:16

King James Version

16 Now the Lord of peace himself

give you peace always by all means.

The Lord be with you all.

Remember the snow globe?

Wherein you shake that glass, or acrylic globe, disturbing all the particles.

And as you set it down, you'll see the lovely "flakes" coming down, settling upon its "floor".

The only thing that remains steady is the object inside that "globe".

That is, if it's glued on right.

But everything "flies" around it.

Our previous post, "Can't lie to a PHYSICIAN", got me thinking of "snow globes".

Especially when Greg Murphy fondly thought of Trump as "hurricane":

"Trump has been an absolute hurricane, and it's throwing people off-base. There will be a calm after the storm. Things will resettle...At the end we will be in a much better place as far as the government."

-- Fox News interview

Ever wondered what makes the snow globe worthwhile?

The water, and "shaking",

is what make everything "happen".

The liquid makes everything come down gracefully.

Without the liquid, the effect would be "flat".

We're only able to enjoy the snow globe because the part we like to watch, after all that shaking, are the particles falling gracefully.

"Activity" only comes from the "shaking".

Not content, we shake it up more.

And watch all over again.

Isn't this what's happening to you, to others, and to the world?

Isn't this what a "shaking" does?

Particles get "disturbed".

Those that are on the floor "rise".

And get thrown all over the place.

But after which, a "settling" occurs.

Let's have a few, concrete examples:

A "shaking" could be a literal "earthquake".

Death, and destruction, occur.

But rebuilding may follow.

A "shaking" could be "war".

Death, and destruction, occur.

But peace negotiations may come forth.

A "shaking" could be a "new" administration.

People may welcome it; or resist it.

Either way, a new leader is in.

A "shaking" could be a "divorce".

Chaos in the family erupts.

But reconciliation may happen.

A "shaking" could be getting "fired".

You lose your income, and dignity.

But you may get a better job elsewhere.

A "shaking" could be surviving a plane "crash".

You're shaken at your "core".

But you're grateful to have survived it.

A "shaking" could be "losing" everything.

You get angry, confused, and demoralized.

But maybe, GOD's got other plans for you.

In all instances, a change has occurred.

You won't be the same again.

You will surely look at how fragile life, work, and relationships, are.

If you survive any catastrophe, you will surely rethink your life.

More often than not, it will create changes in your life.

With every "shaking", chaos and confusion occur.

We are shaken out of our status quo, and comfort zones.

Fear, panic, and confusion, are usually the first reactions.

Initial resistance may happen.

Even anger, and rebellion.

But eventually, we all "settle" in to the "new normal".

Maybe even thinking to ourselves, "It wasn't so bad after all."

Or, "It could have been worse."

And sometimes, "shakings" are blessings in "disguise".

There are things ONLY GOD can see.

Isaiah 55:8-9

King James Version

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways,

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We must remember GOD has plans for us:

Jeremiah 29:11

King James Version

11 For I know the thoughts

that I think toward you,

saith the Lord,

thoughts of peace, and not of evil,

to give you an expected end.

And it's ALWAYS for His purpose.

Jeremiah 29:12-13

King James Version

12 Then shall ye call upon me,

and ye shall go and pray unto me,

and I will hearken unto you.

13 And ye shall seek me, and find me,

when ye shall search for me

with all your heart.

Change usually comes from "disruptions".

Seems to be a necessary aspect of life, and growth.

Whatever "shaking" you go through in life, take comfort.

The particles will "settle".

In due time, it will.

GOD will make sure.

Stay STEADY at your CORE.

Fix your sights upon JESUS -- the STABILIZING FACTOR of all.

Consider the snow globe as "life on earth".

The fixed object inside is "you".

We are surrounded by the "LIVING WATERS" that is GOD.

He protects us from getting "shattered".

The "particles" are the trials, and challenges, "thrown" at us.

In that liquefied space, the particles eventually come down.

The integrity of the object remains.

(If it is "GLUED" on "right".)

STABILITY will come.

Until a new shaking occurs.

But that's life, as we all know it.

We've got to endure to the end.

We live in a world of gravity.

What goes up, will eventually come down.

No matter how "grave" the situation, everything will "settle" down.

By GOD's grace and will, ORDER comes forth.

"Change" always unsettles most of us.

But if you trust JESUS, you will have the PEACE you SEEK.

The fixed object needs JESUS, the STEADY FORCE, within.

He is the "GLUE" we need, to keep us strong, and steady.

We need to have the MIND of CHRIST to truly understand.

That's what being born again taught me.

And I pray you become one.

You will need GOD's SPIRIT to teach you His TRUTH,

When you know His TRUTH, you begin to understand His WILL, WAYS, and WISDOM.

You also begin to realize, only THROUGH JESUS can there be PEACE.

And that's the MOST settling thought of all.

JESUS is the MOST stabilizing FORCE in the universe.

John 16:33

King James Version

33 These things I have spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace.

In the world ye shall have tribulation:

but be of good cheer;

I have overcome the world.
