2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
I will not pretend to know I understand how October 7 happened.
I will not even make judgments, for I don't know the whole story.
All I know is where the HOLY SPIRIT leads me.
He lets me put the pieces of the puzzle together.
In a fair, and just manner, not making judgments, but just looking into plain common sense.
SPIRIT lets me piece it all together, through His selected news video, a verse, or set of verses.
While many reports came, may questions arose.
The main being, how can Israel's famed "intelligence" have failed to see the "signs"?
Am I being unrealistic in thinking that?
The horrors of October 7 remain, but there's so much to uncover each day.
All of a sudden, more info surfaces.
Today, I contemplate the following:
-- Two weeks ago, a Shin Bet "asset" has confessed to being a Hamas "double agent".
The idea being he misled Israel on the potential for a Hamas attack.
But that's why they're "double" agents.
You never know where their true alliances are.
-- Also two weeks ago, CBN News reports a former Israeli intelligence officer revealed why warning signs on October 7 were "missed".
That same report said the victims of the terrible attack down south, were the most left-wing liberals in Israeli society.
Was that why they employed, and unwittingly trusted Gazans?
Sadly, these Gazans, found their chance to attack these trusting Jews.
Who only wanted to give them a fair chance at life, and work.
Thus, incorporating them into Israel society.
Now, we all know that was dangerous.
Just like in America, Israel's "walls" are back.
It's now about border control, and "defense".
In truth, we've already written about "fortifying" your "fortresses" on 21 January 2024.
We perceived people, and nations, in danger.
Especially in homes, societies, and government.
The culprit being CHRIST's sworn enemy.
Only thing is, both Israel, and America, have already been infiltrated.
No thanks to the "squandering" presidents, especially for America.
And in Israel's case, it's so much tougher.
All her next-door neighbors aren't friendly at all.
Israel has known no peace within, and without.
Israel is known to send flyers, so civilians may know "Ham" and "Hez" are about to be attacked.
That ought to give the people a chance to flee to safety.
There is probably no army in the world that diminishes its own capability from such actions.
But Israel can't bear hurting civilians, even it it risks diminishing their air power.
Israel knows how hated she is.
She's not about to add ammo to the world's hatred.
Were the "incorporated" Gazans down south, biding their time, for the opportune moment, when a "signal" was given?
Or did they just give in to the "mob" mentality, and Jew hatred?
See "herd mentality" and "crowd psychology".
An earlier development occurred:
-- Four months ago, Israeli commander Herzi Halevi announced his resignation, and he did step down, taking full responsibility for the consequences of the attacks.
Does the plot thicken?
Or is it simply Israel's famed intelligence messed up, or someone didn't listen, when they should have?
The report about that double agent may qualify for the failure in intelligence reports.
Of course, there are other things running in my mind.
And perhaps, others may call me naive, or unduly suspicious, even judgmental.
But consider these:
If Hamas was able to build miles and miles of tunnels, won't that create enough "noise" for Israel to hear?
Won't satellite surveillance reveal suspicious activity?
Won't their intelligence agency realize something's going on?
What with the amount of materials, cement, or equipment coming into Gaza.
Would that have come through Egypt?
How long does it take to dig tunnels?
How long does it take to bore holes from the floors of houses, to find their way into tunnels?
If the tunnels are quite an intricate maze of hiding places -- some even large enough for trucks to pass through -- and connected to schools, homes, and hospitals, won't any Israeli soldier, or sympathizer, realize something's going on?
After all, Hamas exists to destroy Israel.
There has been no love from that end.
Same with other Iran proxies, like Hezbollah, and Houthis.
Why are they all "H" anyway?
Just asking.
I don't know about you, but where I live, I'm surrounded by three residential construction sites.
My next door neighbor makes enough hum, and noise, to make any sensitive person go nuts.
The clatter of pipes alone can wake the dead.
The frequent trucks coming up to deliver materials, or water, make enough sounds for anyone to hear.
Sure, that's above ground.
And Hamas tunnels are "underground".
Thing is, how'd they get heavy materials down there?
How'd they even got to build tunnels, without alerting Israel?
Israeli intelligence has always been known to be excellent.
How is it they missed the "signs"?
Did someone, or a bunch, fail to alert Netanyahu?
After all the prime minister relies on reports, and findings, before he makes a decision.
Would they really rely on just one double-agent's claim not to worry about anything on the 6th, and boom, the 7th happens?
Perhaps, we can all agree --
the tunnels were NOT built overnight.
Look, I'm no military expert.
I'm not even a historian.
Neither am I a Jew, or Muslim.
I'm an independent journalist.
And a born again watchman.
I use plain, common sense.
Street sense, if you will.
I just can't seem to believe all that mega-tunnel-building activity that went on in Gaza, escaped Israel's knowledge.
Their intelligence is superb, and legendary.
Who failed to warn Israel?
Did anybody get complacent?
Did anybody want to listen?
Did anybody fail to listen?
Did anybody think something was amiss?
Thus, the questions remain.
And it doesn't change what happened.
Many lives were lost.
Many families grieve.
Many families are suffering.
Many don't know which news to trust.
There are still 58 hostages remaining.
Twenty-one are reputed to be alive.
Used to be 24.
The wars continue.
Israel's being attacked on EIGHT fronts.
Seven from outside; one from within the Knesset.
Her enemies hide behind children, families, homes, schools, hospitals, and ideology.
May the food go to the legitimate hungry of Gaza.
May women, the elderly, and children be spared from harm.
And may GOD have mercy on us all.
I, too, long for truth.
But as the Bible says:
