The AI bubble

Colossians 2:8

King James Version

8 Beware lest any man spoil you

through philosophy and vain deceit,

after the tradition of men,

after the rudiments of the world,

and not after Christ.

How much do you trust AI?

Is the AI phenomenon a "bubble"?

Is it about to be burst?

Is it but a "trend"?

Is it "overhyped"?

Is it reliable?

Is it a healthy alternative?

What is it really doing to humans?

How has work, and thinking, changed?

Find out from this 25-minute video by a software developer who once worked for the defense industry.

He once developed, and built, autonomous robotic devices.

His video pretty much sums up all my suspicions.

And mind you, I'm no programmer.

All I have is being born again, and living by the Bible.

Maybe that's better, my feet are on the ground.

Even as my heart is up, adoring GOD.

I prefer common sense, over tricky trends.

I have this strong suspicion many tech dudes have fallen too much in love with themselves, and their "creations".

And that's where the danger lies.

1 John 2:16

King James Version

16 For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

and the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

is not of the Father,

but is of the world.

The past two days, this born again watchman has been studying videos, as we looked more into AI.

One of my main concerns is how president Trump seems enamored with it, for sometime now.

He's been talking to a lot of tech giants, grateful for their investments in America.

Recently, he hosted tech titans:

Trump Hosts Tech Titans Zuckerberg Gates Cook Altman At White House Dinner

Now, America will be focusing on building huge data centers.

And with that comes a need for uninterrupted power sources.

It's surely a race for world domination, with America having been overtaken by China.

This, as Biden tottered, and Trump hopes to get back on track.

Interestingly, the 25-minute video above notes India's domination on data scraping.

We all know that when your private info is on the internet, that's it.

My thinking has been,

we've all been "harvested",

for an "opportune" time.

There will come a time, we will be forced to "toe the line", and "obey", lest we lose everything.

That's always been this watchman's take on all that personal data they've been harvesting from each one of us.

Admit it, there's no more privacy in the world.

Someone always holds all the info on each one of us, due to devices.

Imagine what the person or company, who holds all that data, can do with such.

That's why there's a race for it.

As with pride, greed, and vanity, the bubble always bursts.

Proverbs 16:18

King James Version

18 Pride goeth before destruction,

and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Clues to such came from that 25-minute video, wherein we were able to draw some very telling phrases:

"We think of AI as they're supposed to be smart;

they're supposed to be all-knowing."

That pretty much debunks all this obsession with AI.

Who really is all-knowing?

Only GOD, of course.

GOD's TRUTH

Three GOD traits

CHARACTERISTICS of GOD

Where will all this obsession take us?

Is AI completely reliable?

Is it accurate?

Here are some statements from that video:

"The more complex the project gets,

this thing spits out bug after bug."

"Nvidia makes the picks and shovels for the gold."

"So many picks and shovels are being sold,

that it's causing the gold to be more believable."

He even pointed out the difference between hand-held scientific calculators versus AI:

Scientific calculators are "programmed to do exactly the right thing".

In contrast:

"AI is making a decision how to answer it."

It's "all over the map".

"It's like you have an infinite number of robots."

"Nothing is repeatable."

"So, if the answers are not repeatable,

then are they the right answers?"

Another very telling phrase -- the "source of truth".

We, watchmen, look to the ONLY SOURCE of TRUTH.

GOD, through JESUS:

John 14:6

King James Version

6 Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way, the truth, and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is a SPIRIT of TRUTH, you know.

He's the One Who teaches me all the time.

JESUS told us about Him:

John 14:16-17

King James Version

16 And I will pray the Father,

and he shall give you another Comforter,

that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth;

whom the world cannot receive,

because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:

but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you,

and shall be in you.

John 14:26

King James Version

26 But the Comforter,

which is the Holy Ghost,

whom the Father will send in my name,

he shall teach you all things,

and bring all things to your remembrance,

whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 15:26

King James Version

26 But when the Comforter is come,

whom I will send unto you from the Father,

even the Spirit of truth,

which proceedeth from the Father,

he shall testify of me:

We are no match for GOD.

AI is just a tool, with many answers.

And not all of them are correct.

Neither are they repeatable.

As that video says:

AI "reads the internet."

"It becomes like gossip."
