King James Version
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man;
so are children of the youth.
Children of the world are in great danger.
These young souls are subject to older people's agendas.
And if adults are not right with GOD, these children suffer.
It is not just enough we clothe, feed, and house them.
Or give them an education.
We need to watch over their souls.
But what if we, ourselves, don't have the right soul?
That's why we need to be born again.
That SPIRIT may teach us GOD's laws.
That we may understand Scripture.
That we may know about JESUS.
And teach our children rightly.
Making sure they are equipped for this world.
And not create more of the same.
Here are wonderful verses from Scripture.
Which ought to guide us how to care for our children.
In ways that please GOD, the Father.
As He commanded Israel,
Deuteronomy 11:18-21
King James Version
18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words
in your heart and in your soul,
and bind them for a sign upon your hand,
that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children,
speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house,
and when thou walkest by the way,
when thou liest down,
and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them
upon the door posts of thine house,
and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied,
and the days of your children,
in the land which the Lord sware
unto your fathers to give them,
as the days of heaven upon the earth.
Psalm 78:4
King James Version
4 We will not hide them from their children,
shewing to the generation to come
the praises of the Lord,
and his strength,
and his wonderful works
that he hath done.
Psalm 78:6-8
King James Version
6 That the generation to come might know them,
even the children which should be born;
who should arise and declare them to their children:
7 That they might set their hope in God,
and not forget the works of God,
but keep his commandments:
8 And might not be as their fathers,
a stubborn and rebellious generation;
a generation that set not their heart aright,
and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
and as He commanded us:
Proverbs 13:24
King James Version
24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son:
but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Proverbs 22:6
King James Version
6 Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 29:15
King James Version
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom:
but a child left to himself
bringeth his mother to shame.
Proverbs 29:17
King James Version
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest;
yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
2 Corinthians 12:14
King James Version
14 Behold,
the third time I am ready to come to you;
and I will not be burdensome to you:
for I seek not yours but you:
for the children ought not to lay up for the parents,
but the parents for the children.
Ephesians 6:4
King James Version
4 And, ye fathers,
provoke not your children to wrath:
but bring them up in the nurture
and admonition of the Lord.
Colossians 3:21
King James Version
21 Fathers,
provoke not your children to anger,
lest they be discouraged.
1 Timothy 5:4
King James Version
4 But if any widow have children or nephews,
let them learn first to shew piety at home,
and to requite their parents:
for that is good and acceptable before God.
1 Timothy 5:8
King James Version
8 But if any provide not for his own,
and specially for those of his own house,
he hath denied the faith,
and is worse than an infidel.
Titus 2:1-5
King James Version
2 But speak thou the things
which become sound doctrine:
2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate,
sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3 The aged women likewise,
that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness,
not false accusers, not given to much wine,
teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober,
to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good,
obedient to their own husbands,
that the word of God be not blasphemed.
We were all destined to be either parents, guardians, and children, to each other.
Whether in homes, in schools, or in the workplace, we are all bound to look after the young.
We are responsible for their safety.
There must be no favoritism.
We adults must have a SOUND mind, through CHRIST.
JESUS was particular about the children:
Matthew 18:1-3
King James Version
18 At the same time
came the disciples unto Jesus, saying,
Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him,
and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you,
Except ye be converted,
and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:4-5
King James Version
4 Whosoever therefore
shall humble himself as this little child,
the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive
one such little child in my name receiveth me.
Matthew 18:6-7
King James Version
6 But whoso shall offend
one of these little ones which believe in me,
it were better for him that a millstone
were hanged about his neck,
and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
7 Woe unto the world because of offences!
for it must needs be that offences come;
but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
He commanded we love each other.
John 13:34
King James Version
34 A new commandment I give unto you,
That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.
Our responsibilities continue.
For GOD made us all.
Genesis 2:7
King James Version
7 And the Lord God formed man
of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul.
